Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am a passionate IT consultant and also spend part of my free time exploring technologies, building systems, and automating things.

Professional & Technical

My professional life revolves around IT solutions. I love analyzing complex problems and finding elegant, efficient ways to solve them. My focus is often on modern infrastructure, cloud technologies, and development.

This blog itself is the best example of that: It runs on my own VPS, orchestrated with Docker and a fully automated GitOps pipeline. Why do it the simple way when you can do it the cool way? I firmly believe that the best way to understand technology is to build and run it yourself.

The "Homelab"

My "Homelab" (which is actually more of a server in a data center) is my digital playground. Here I experiment with new tools, host my own services (like this website, my notes, and various monitoring tools), and am constantly learning. It's about data sovereignty, independence from big cloud providers, and of course, the fun of tinkering.

Hobbies & Balance

When the laptop is closed, I need some balance. You can often find me at the ping-pong table – the fastest racket sport in the world is perfect for clearing my head and training my reflexes.

On weekends, I enjoy going on tours with my gravel bike, at least when the weather is nice (yes, I'm a fair-weather rider). I will also regularly post about these tours on my blog.

Otherwise, I'm a passionate gamer on Xbox. Currently, I spend most of my time on the battlefields of Battlefield 6 or building cities in Anno 117: Pax Romana. You can find gaming clips from Battlefield on my TikTok channel.
